About DaySpring Community Church

DaySpring Community Church was begun with the desire to really be the Church of Jesus Christ.

We want what matters to God to be what matters to us. Accordingly, we focus on the things of life that count, like:

  • Relationship with God
  • Spiritual and personal growth
  • Family and the fellowship of faith
  • Making a positive difference in the lives of people
  • Impacting our community and the world for Christ

Because God is real and really loves us, we believe that we need to be real in our lives and faith. All that we are and do should be in sync with what God tells us in the Bible. Then, and only then, will our lives be all that they can and should be -- content, fulfilled, fruitful, and purposeful.

Realizing that in ourselves we do not possess the ability to be as we ought and do as we should, we put all of our trust in the power of Jesus Christ to work in and through us to accomplish anything good.

We are real people, in a real world, serving a real God!

What We Believe

DaySpring Community Church is a part of the Southern Baptist Convention, and so we accept and follow the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message with regard to our biblical beliefs.

A few of the basic fundamentals of our faith are as follows:

  • The Bible is God's written revelation to humanity, and it is divinely inspired, authoritative, and has truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter.

  • Jesus Christ is God's Son, born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on a cross, experienced bodily resurrection, ascended to heaven, presently intercedes for all who believe, and will return in power and glory one day.

  • God's Holy Spirit performs the miracle of new birth in an unbeliever, and indwells believers, enabling them to live a godly life.

People are created in the image of God, but because of sin, are alienated from God. Only through faith in Christ alone for salvation, which was made possible by His death and resurrection, can that alienation be removed and eternal life secured.
